Overview:This week, the overall weakness continued. Demand-side factors (phosphate fertiliser off-season, weakness in titanium dioxide and fluorine chemicals) exerted downward pressure, while supply-side factors (maintenance resumptions and low-priced cross-regional supply) also weighed. The price center continued to decline. A few rebounds, such as Fujian Zijin, were local phenomena and did not constitute an overall trend. The market is expected to remain in the doldrums in the near term.
Upstream: (South-west China)The market was weak, demand sluggish, down 80 yuan/mt this week, now at 1,500 yuan/mt.
Upstream: (East China)The previous influx of low-priced supply led to a slight inventory buildup at copper refineries recently, coupled with weak downstream purchasing.
Upstream: (Southeast China) Increased by 40 yuan/mt, now the price is 1,580 yuan/mt, downstream demand has not improved significantly, which is a rebound from excessively low prices.
Upstream: (Central China) The downstream sectors in this region are mainly titanium dioxide/fluorine chemicals, operating rates are declining, and the downstream cannot take more.
Upstream: (North-west China) Fell by 100 yuan/mt this week, now at 1,730 yuan/mt, mainly due to the price-cut sentiment from outside regions
