Overview:The domestic-overseas zinc price ratio deteriorated further recently, and the economic viability of imported zinc concentrates weakened. Smelters still mainly procured domestic ore. This week, spot transactions for imported zinc concentrates were relatively limited, and overall TCs remained low. According to market sources, traders and smelters recently transacted Q4 imported zinc concentrates at TCs around -$100~-$110/dmt, while some high-grade zinc concentrates were transacted at TCs near -$120/dmt. Additionally, the BVC zinc concentrate tender result was released recently, with the winning bid price heard at -$150~-$160/dmt for August shipment and a cargo quantity of approximately 10,000 mt.
