To improve the efficiency of accessing and using overseas PV module price information on SMM's photovoltaic platform, and to provide clearer descriptions of different wafer sizes, module formats, application scenarios, and trade and delivery terms, SMM will update the English names and related English methodologies of 21 existing overseas PV module price assessments, effective immediately. Details of the changes are as follows:
I. Revision of English Naming Conventions
This revision primarily focuses on optimizing the names of price assessments on SMM's English website. The following module format identifiers, which are commonly used in the international PV market, will be adopted consistently:
- M10
- G12R
- G12
The revised English names will follow a standardized sequence covering the region, technology type, module format, application scenario, power range, trade term, and delivery location, enabling customers to identify different module products and their corresponding price specifications more easily.
This revision applies only to SMM's English website. The names of price assessments on the Chinese website will remain unchanged.
II. Methodology Updates
In line with the revised English names, SMM will update the quality specifications in the relevant English methodologies as follows:

This revision only involves the English names and related English methodology descriptions of the relevant price assessments. It does not affect any content on SMM's Chinese website, nor does it involve changes to existing price data, price collection methodologies, update frequency, or historical data. The continuity and integrity of historical price data will therefore remain unaffected.
Following the completion of this revision, all newly introduced overseas PV module price assessments will adopt the English naming structure and methodology standards established under this update.
