Recently, the Governor of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham, and Ebon Solar jointly announced an investment of approximately USD 942 million in the solar energy industry in New Mexico. Ebon Solar plans to build a solar cell manufacturing plant covering approximately 834,000 square feet in the Mesa del Sol Industrial Development Zone in Albuquerque, New Mexico, creating more than 900 new jobs.

The U.S. government intends to ban mining and oil drilling in northern New Mexico for 50 years, as part of the Biden administration's plan to protect Native American lands and advance responsible mining on public lands, the Mining.com website reported.
