On April 14, the China National Resources Recycling Association released the "China Resources Recycling Industry Development Report (2025)" at the "Green Consumption and Resources Recycling Industry Development Theme Event." According to the report, the scale of China's resources recycling industry continued to expand in 2024, with the total recycling volume reaching 401 million mt, up 6.5% YoY, and the recycling value reaching 1.33 trillion yuan. Among them, steel scrap remained the highest recycled variety, accounting for over 60%. Thanks to the successful implementation of the trade-in policy for consumer goods, the recycling volumes of waste electrical and electronic products and scrapped motor vehicles both increased significantly. The report pointed out that driven by both policy dividends and technological innovation, China's resources recycling system is gradually improving, and the industry is moving towards standardization, scale, and intensification.
