Northern Rare Earth announced on the evening of April 9 that based on the pricing method of rare earth concentrate and the price of rare earth oxides in the first quarter of 2024, after calculation and approval by the company's 6th General Manager's Office Meeting in 2024, the transaction price of rare earth concentrate in the second quarter of 2024 was adjusted to 16,792 yuan/ton (dry basis, REO=50%) excluding tax.

Prices of rare earths were mixed on Mar 27. According to SMM, mainstream transaction price in the PrNd oxide market continued to decrease slightly to 350,000-354,000 yuan/ton. The price of dysprosium oxide increased slightly to 1,810-1,830 yuan/kg.

Lynas released on January 22 its operating performance for the second quarter of fiscal year 2024 as of December 31, 2023: the total production of rare earth oxides (REO) in the second quarter of this fiscal year was 1,566 tons, down from 3,609 tons in the first quarter. Sales revenue also fell to A$112.5 million from A$128.1 million in the first quarter.
