On May 6, China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech announced its listing prices of rare earth products for May, with price hikes for many rare earth products.

Today, rare earth prices rose rapidly. According to SMM, mainstream transaction price in the PrNd oxide market rose to 396,000-400,000 yuan/ton. The price of dysprosium oxide increased to 2020-2040 yuan/kg. The price of terbium oxide also increased to 6420-6480 yuan/kg. The price of gadolinium oxide was raised to 186,000-190,000 yuan/ton, and the price of holmium oxide rose to 500,000-510,000 yuan/ton.

Northern Rare Earth announced on the evening of April 9 that based on the pricing method of rare earth concentrate and the price of rare earth oxides in the first quarter of 2024, after calculation and approval by the company's 6th General Manager's Office Meeting in 2024, the transaction price of rare earth concentrate in the second quarter of 2024 was adjusted to 16,792 yuan/ton (dry basis, REO=50%) excluding tax.

China Northern Rare Earth kept rare earth products prices in April flat from the previous month.

Prices of rare earths were mixed on Mar 27. According to SMM, mainstream transaction price in the PrNd oxide market continued to decrease slightly to 350,000-354,000 yuan/ton. The price of dysprosium oxide increased slightly to 1,810-1,830 yuan/kg.

On March 1, China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech Co. released the prices of rare earth products in March 2024. The prices of many rare earth products fell month-on-month, while the price of cerium oxide increased month-on-month.

Recently, the price of rare earth oxides has shown an overall weak trend. Sellers of praseodymium and neodymium products reduced quotations, and the spot cargoes circulating in the market have tightened after the separation plants delivered for the long-term contracts.

China Northern Rare Earth lowered prices for Pr-Nd oxide significantly in March from the previous month.

Prices of rare earths remained weak on Feb 28. According to SMM, mainstream transaction price in the PrNd oxide market was reduced to 372,000-374,000 yuan/ton. The price of dysprosium oxide has also been slightly reduced to 1840-1870 yuan/kg.
