N.A.N. GreenMet, in partnership with Silox Group, has established a 50:50 joint venture to build an advanced lithium-ion battery recycling and critical minerals recovery platform in India. The joint venture, named NAN Silox GreenMet Pvt. Ltd., plans to construct an industrial-scale processing facility in Andhra Pradesh. The plant will treat end-of-life batteries through shredding, beneficiation, and hydrometallurgical refining, enabling the recovery of key metals such as lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese, thereby reducing India’s reliance on imported battery-grade raw materials and establishing a domestic circular supply chain. The project will be developed in two phases, ultimately targeting a capacity of 40,000 tonnes per annum of battery shredding and 20,000 tonnes per annum of hydrometallurgical processing. Beyond recycling, the joint venture will also explore downstream value creation, including the production of cathode active materials (pCAM, CAM) and second-life applications of batteries for energy storage.
Jun 18, 2026 07:00Hoa Phat’s 2025 results marked a major step-up driven by the ramp-up of Dung Quat 2, pushing crude steel output above 11 million tons and lifting earnings through higher volumes and cost dilution despite weak global steel prices. Growth was supported by stronger HRC and downstream sales, a rising export mix, and continued domestic dominance. The year also signals a strategic shift toward higher-value products and future capacity expansion into rail and special steels.
Jun 15, 2026 15:14This week, ternary cathode precursor prices edged down. Today, nickel sulphate prices rose slightly, cobalt sulphate prices dipped marginally, and manganese sulphate prices held steady. Payables side, for April and Q2 orders, some producers were willing to raise discounts due to significant raw material price fluctuations. Long-term contract side, some producers recently negotiated long-term contracts. Some producers saw slight increases in nickel and cobalt discounts, while others may have had some room for negotiation on processing fees. However, as downstream acceptance of high-priced raw materials remained weak, the overall upside room for coefficients is expected to be limited. Spot order side, cobalt and manganese coefficients generally held stable in April. Downstream purchasing sentiment was weak, and further rises are expected to be difficult. If nickel prices strengthen further, nickel coefficients may have some room to rise.
Apr 16, 2026 13:25Leading manufacturers have maintained a relatively high production pace recently, with a rush to export bringing some order growth. However, the scale of this growth has fallen short of earlier expectations.
Jan 30, 2026 15:48On January 13, 2026, the pCAM project at CNGR’s industrial base in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, officially commenced operation. Construction of the project began in February 2025, with the first batch of core production equipment arriving and being installed in July of the same year. The facility is now fully operational, with its annual production capacity set to be gradually ramped up to 20,000 tons. According to the "Announcement on Adjusting Export Tax Rebate Policies for Photovoltaic and Other Products" jointly issued earlier by the Ministry of Finance and the State Taxation Administration, starting from April 1, 2026, the 13% VAT export rebate on pCAM products will no longer be available. Following the implementation of this policy, the export cost of Chinese ternary precursor products is expected to rise significantly. This measure is likely to further accelerate the overseas capacity deployment of domestic precursor manufacturers, expedite the construction of overseas production bases, and promote the localization of the global ternary supply chain.
Jan 14, 2026 09:02According to CXMT's official website, in October 2025, the company shared the latest progress of its LPDDR5X products at the IEEE 2025 ASICON conference. CXMT's current LPDDR5X product lineup includes dies, chips, and modules. The die offerings are available in 12 Gb and 16 Gb densities. Chip solutions cover multiple capacities, including 12 GB, 16 GB, and 24 GB. The LPCAMM modules come in 16 GB and 32 GB capacities. The LPDDR5X products support data rates of 8,533 Mbps, 9,600 Mbps, and 10,677 Mbps, while maintaining compatibility with LPDDR5. The 8,533 Mbps and 9,600 Mbps LPDDR5X products entered mass production in May this year, and the 10,677 Mbps version has begun sampling to customers.
