Dear Users,
Greetings!
In recent years, trade between China and Southeast Asian countries has become increasingly frequent, with a growing number of domestic die-cast zinc alloy manufacturers and downstream end-user enterprises setting up production facilities in Southeast Asia, among which Thailand has emerged as a particularly popular destination. It is understood that Chinese enterprises have significantly accelerated their pace of investment and factory establishment in Southeast Asia in recent years. Thailand, with its stable business environment, well-established supply chain infrastructure, and notable ASEAN geographical advantages, has become a key hub for the die-casting industry's "going global" strategy.
Of particular note is the recent concentration of domestic bathroom hardware, plumbing equipment, and other zinc alloy end-user enterprises transferring production capacity to Thailand. This includes several well-known bathroom faucet brands and their supporting die-casting suppliers, which have already completed production deployment in Thailand. As more die-cast zinc alloy and terminal hardware companies adopt an integrated local procurement, production, and sales model in Thailand, coupled with the intensifying uncertainty in the international trade environment, the trend of overseas plant establishment has evolved from isolated pioneering cases to a full-fledged industry trend.
To keep pace with the global development trend and accurately and objectively reflect price movements in the Thai die-cast zinc alloy market, SMM plans to officially launch the Thailand Zamak3 Premium. This initiative aims to provide the industry with a transparent and fair cross-border settlement reference, helping enterprises hedge price risks and improve operational decision-making efficiency.
