Highlights:
Lithium carbonate prices started to slightly decrease in early Q2 due to weaker demand related to coronavirus, however back to increase trend by end Q2, mainly due to the recovery of downstream NEV & battery demand.
The release of new capacity combined with the recovery of end demand boosted the production of lithium carbonate in the second quarter.
The lithium market is expect to remain strong in Q3 and Q4, owing to the demand increase from end market after COVID-19 influence and relatively Lithium resource shortage in 2022 whole year.
