PT Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) has reinforced its sustainability framework by integrating advanced Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and wastewater tracking (Sispek) directly with Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment (KLH) servers. As of early 2026, 37 tenants have completed independent external safety audits (SMK3) to ensure high operational standards. Beyond environmental compliance, IMIP is scaling up human capital investment through vocational partnerships with top universities like ITB and UGM, alongside international training programs in China, positioning the park as a benchmark for responsible and tech-driven nickel downstreaming.
Mar 31, 2026 22:58The U.S. government has shifted from policy announcements to actively deploying capital, channeling funds through multiple programs to strengthen domestic and allied critical mineral and metal supply chains and related manufacturing. In practice, this financing is delivered through several key agencies: the Department of Energy (especially the Loan Programs Office), the Department of Defense (including Defense Production Act Title III and the Office of Strategic Capital), the Department of Commerce (such as the CHIPS Program Office), USDA Rural Development for select industrial support, and the International Development Finance Corporation for strategic overseas investments, alongside the Export-Import Bank, which plays a major role in funding projects from mining to manufacturing.
Mar 26, 2026 16:09On March 20, the Information Office of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Government held a press conference in the series “Implementing the ‘1571’ Work Deployment and Promoting High-Quality Development in Inner Mongolia,” providing a special briefing on the region’s achievements in green hydrogen industry development, key tasks for 2026, and the 15th Five-Year Plan. It made clear that, by leveraging its advantages in wind and solar power resources, Inner Mongolia will advance the full-chain layout of green hydrogen and continue to lead the nation’s green hydrogen industry. Key Focuses of the Hydrogen Energy Industry in 2026: Building a Pioneer Zone for Green Hydrogen Development In 2026, with the construction of a national pioneer zone for the green hydrogen industry as its core goal, Inner Mongolia will comprehensively advance the large-scale deployment of green hydrogen. It will launch pilot projects for large-scale off-grid hydrogen production, expand application scenarios such as blending green hydrogen into natural gas and coupling with the chemical and metallurgical industries, while simultaneously building green hydrogen industrial parks and broadening channels for the non-power use of green electricity. Within the year, construction will begin on three green hydrogen pipelines, including the Ulanqab–Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei route, to improve the transmission network. At the same time, the region will focus on breakthroughs in hydrogen energy technology, deepen collaboration among industry, academia, research, and application, and advance the implementation of demonstration projects for the first unit (set) of hydrogen energy equipment and collaborative innovation projects integrating wind and solar power, hydrogen, and energy storage, so as to consolidate the industry’s technological foundation. Green Hydrogen Industry Achievements Lead the Nation, with Advantages in Both Scale and Cost Becoming Prominent Inner Mongolia is richly endowed with wind and solar power resources, with technically developable wind and solar power resources exceeding 10 billion kW, accounting for one-quarter of the national total, laying a solid foundation for the green hydrogen industry. At present, multiple industry indicators ranked among the top nationwide. A total of 19 policies covering the entire industry chain of green hydrogen had been introduced; 7 projects were included in national demonstration programs; 8 projects were completed and put into operation, forming annual capacity of 80,000 mt. Green hydrogen production reached 12,694 mt in 2025, surging 3.6 times YoY; production in January and February 2026 was 2,653.6 mt, with production costs at 17-20 yuan/kg, only 60% of the national average. In addition, the country’s first provincial-level green hydrogen pipeline plan had been implemented, and the pipeline network featuring “one trunk line, two loops, and four outlets” was being accelerated. The hydrogen pipeline from Darhan Muminggan Banner to urban Baotou had already been completed, while green hydrogen applications now covered transportation, chemicals, power, and other fields, with the consumer market maturing rapidly. Precise Planning Under the 15th Five-Year Plan to Build a Strong Hydrogen Energy Industry Cluster During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, based on its existing foundation, Inner Mongolia will build a distinctive hydrogen energy industry cluster and focus on advancing four major tasks: scientifically formulate industry plans and reasonably lay out clusters by producing based on sales; tackle core technologies such as off-grid hydrogen production and flexible electrolyzers to raise the industry’s technological level; expand diversified application scenarios, improve business models, and open up the entire chain of production, storage, transportation, refueling, and utilization; accelerate the construction of green hydrogen pipelines within the region and across provinces, reduce transportation costs, comprehensively enhance the competitiveness of the green hydrogen industry, and support the industry in continuing to lead the nation.
Mar 24, 2026 13:45It is worth noting that the overall overseas ternary cathode demand outlook for 2026 remains subdued. The U.S. market has been sluggish since the fourth quarter of last year, prompting many overseas manufacturers to place their hopes on the European market.
Mar 20, 2026 17:01Renascor Resources Drilling at Bulloo Creek intersected cobalt and copper mineralisation associated with magnetic anomalies, delivering several intervals with economically promising grades. The results indicate a south-dipping cobalt ± copper mineralised horizon, with mineralisation confirmed in both eastern and western anomalies, suggesting a broader mineralised trend. At the Marree Project, negotiations on a Native Title agreement have progressed, which is expected to facilitate exploration of uranium as well as copper-gold targets. Uranium targeting work has also commenced at the Wooltana Project, while rare earth exploration at the Tumby Bay prospect on Eyre Peninsula is advancing, with plans to expand soil geochemistry programs to further define the scale and extent of mineralisation.

It will work with leading automakers including BYD, Geely, and Nissan to jointly develop next-generation L4 autonomous driving programs based on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform. Isuzu, meanwhile, partnered with TIER IV to use the platform’s core component, the DRIVE AGX Thor chip, to build an L4 autonomous driving bus.
Mar 17, 2026 17:28US critical minerals miner Critical Metals announced a $30 million plan to rapidly develop the Tanbreez heavy rare earth project in Greenland. This funding will advance drilling, infrastructure, engineering design, and metallurgical programs, with the goal of commencing the first batch of ore production in Q4 2028 or Q1 2029, and starting rare earth concentrate exports in Q3 2029.
Mar 17, 2026 17:23China’s Ministry of Finance launched the 2026 application process for pilot programs to address shortcomings in county-level charging and battery swapping infrastructure. For charging and battery swapping stations powered by PV generation, if the amount of electricity “generated for self-use” exceeds 40% of total charging volume, the annual total charging volume of such “generated for self-use” electricity may be converted at 1.2 times.
Mar 13, 2026 17:37Eastman Auto & Power has opened an 800 MW solar module manufacturing facility in Sonipat, Haryana, advancing its 'Make in India' footprint. The plant supports the company's strategy to provide integrated solar solutions, combining its newly manufactured PV modules with its existing portfolio of grid-tie, off-grid, and hybrid inverters, as well as energy storage batteries. By complying with domestic content requirement (DCR) rules and MNRE standards, the locally produced modules are eligible for government-supported programs, including the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which aims to accelerate residential rooftop solar deployments across the country.
