Jun 11, 2025 14:396 Days to the Conference Conference Name: 2025 SMM 2nd Global Secondary Metals Industry Summit Date: 2025.06.12-13 Venue: Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Thailand Industry leaders including Japan Kosei Industries, SVOLT Energy Technology, Thailand Ministry of Industry, MNMA, Material Recycling Association of India, JCC International, Ruiyi Resources & Environment, and Yixin International will gather to explore new trends, technologies, and policies in the secondary metals industry! Against the backdrop of global cooperation to address climate change, green and low-carbon collaboration has become an inevitable choice for the international community. In recent years, China has introduced policies encouraging secondary metals enterprises to "go global," with an increasingly improved market environment accelerating domestic companies' global expansion and active exploration of overseas markets. The "go global era" has become an indispensable force in promoting the green, low-carbon, and international development of China's nonferrous metals industry. With the introduction of favorable policies such as the Carbon Peaking Implementation Plan for the Nonferrous Metals Industry, the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Raw Materials Industry, the Carbon Peaking Implementation Plan for the Industrial Sector, and the Measures to Promote Stable Growth of Foreign Trade, secondary metals enterprises have emerged under a model involving overseas resource recycling, processing into standardized secondary metal raw materials for import to China, and direct service to local downstream users, achieving continuous breakthroughs. Chinese secondary metals enterprises, riding the policy momentum, are accelerating overseas expansion, bringing new capacity, employment, and tax revenue to host countries. Hundreds of companies have acquired scrap yards or established sorting bases in Southeast Asia, Europe, and Japan and South Korea. Due to their wide application in automotive, home appliance, telecommunications, construction, and aerospace sectors, these enterprises are becoming practitioners of the dual-circulation development path integrating domestic and overseas markets. Industry sources revealed that China's secondary nonferrous metals production reached 19.15 million mt in 2024, ranking first globally for 15 consecutive years. The physical content of imported secondary copper and aluminum raw materials exceeded 4 million mt, accounting for 23% of total raw material supply, down 1.7 percentage points from 2023. A supply structure has largely formed, dominated by domestic recycling with imports as a key supplement. For instance, the number of countries and regions exporting secondary aluminum raw materials to China increased to 95 (up by 6 from 2023), with 22 (up by 4) exceeding 10,000 mt. According to industry forecasts, China's recycled metal industry is expected to exceed 500 billion yuan by 2025 and reach a trillion-yuan market by 2030, with an annual compound growth rate exceeding 15%. Meanwhile, with the recovery of the global economy and the rise of emerging markets, regional recycled metal markets exhibit unique development trends. India , leveraging its vast population and rapid industrialization, demonstrates strong market demand, yet faces constraints in sustainable development due to an incomplete recycling system, lack of quality control, and high energy costs. The Middle East , benefiting from its strategic location and abundant resources, has become a key hub for global recycled metal trade. However, challenges such as heavy reliance on external demand, geopolitical tensions, and lagging local recycling technologies significantly hinder innovation and competitiveness. Europe , with its robust environmental regulations and advanced technology, leads in high-quality recycled metal development. Nevertheless, it struggles with high recycling costs, raw material shortages, import dependence, and inconsistent recycling standards among member states. Southeast Asia , driven by manufacturing growth and favorable policies, continues to unlock market potential but faces obstacles like insufficient capacity, compliance risks, and regional trade barriers. Thus, a thorough analysis of these regional markets' strengths and challenges not only helps industry players grasp global dynamics but also provides strategic insights for business planning. In this context, SMM will host the 2025 SMM 2nd Global Recycled Metal Industry Chain Summit in Thailand on June 12-13, 2025. I. Product Introduction 1. This product is a composite of polymer nano-modified materials and proprietary solvents, an environmentally friendly material that contains no cadmium, lead, mercury, fluorine, bismuth, or hexavalent chromium. After using this product, hot-dip galvanizing can achieve "0" ammonium chloride operation for the fluxing agent and "0" ammonia water for iron removal, truly realizing an ammonium-free fluxing process. On this basis, it will significantly reduce zinc fumes generated during the galvanizing process, improve zinc utilization, reduce the environmental protection pressure on galvanizing enterprises, and lower galvanizing costs. 2. This product also possesses excellent anti-explosion properties. After using this product, there is no need to add anti-explosion agents or other similar products to the fluxing agent, thereby reducing usage costs. II. Usage Instructions 1. When using this product, add the smokeless fluxing agent to the fluxing tank at a 2% dosing ratio. The ammonium chloride content in the fluxing agent should be reduced to 0 g/l, with zinc chloride at 120-150 g/l, and the pH should not exceed 3.5. After adding and thoroughly mixing, it can be used. The temperature of the fluxing agent should generally not be lower than 55°C. 2. After using this product, the original ammonia water/hydrogen peroxide iron removal process in the fluxing tank will no longer be used. Instead, a special iron removal agent (compatible with our company's smokeless fluxing agent) should be added during the iron removal process (online iron removal equipment already installed in galvanizing plants can still be used) to ensure "0" ammonium introduction during the iron removal process and "0" ammonium operation of the smokeless fluxing process. 3. This product is a consumable, and its consumption rate is directly related to production. Generally, for every 200-250 mt of galvanized parts produced, 25-30 kg of this product needs to be replenished. 4. During the production process, when water needs to be replenished to the process tank due to water level drop, this product should be added to the process tank at a 1% ratio of the replenished water volume to ensure concentration balance. 5. Comparison of fluxing process parameters before and after using this product Item Conventional Fluxing Agent Smokeless Fluxing Agent Ammonium Chloride ≥150 g/l 0 g/l Zinc Chloride ≥100 g/l 120-150 g/l pH Value/Temperature 4-5/55-70°C 2-3.5/55-70°C Fume Production - Reduced by 70-80% Zinc Ash Production - Reduced by 15-20% Anti-Explosion Performance Anti-explosion agent required No anti-explosion agent required Iron Removal Process Ammonia water/hydrogen peroxide Special iron removal agent, "0" ammonium introduction 6. For the use of the accompanying special iron removal agent, production lines with online iron removal equipment already installed can be configured with liquid packaging (1 mt drums) to perfectly adapt to the existing online iron removal equipment. Production lines without online iron removal equipment can be configured with solid packaging (25 kg/bag), and centralized tank dumping for iron removal can be carried out based on the actual iron content of the fluxing agent to achieve fluxing agent cleaning, reduce zinc slag production, and thus lower production costs. III. Packaging and Storage 1. This product is packaged in 25L plastic drums or mt drums and stored in a dry and cool place. ◆ Contact Information ◆ Mr. Ding 13218815922 Long press to scan the QR code and register immediately 2025 SMM Zinc Industry Conference
May 31, 2025 14:26Since the global consensus on green and low-carbon development was reached, the strategic position of the secondary metal industry has become increasingly prominent. With the accelerated advancement of industrialization, the demand for metal resources has continued to grow. As a green, environmentally friendly, and economically viable alternative resource, secondary metals have become a global focus. In recent years, Southeast Asia has emerged as a significant global hub for the collection, distribution, and processing of secondary resources. Meanwhile, with the deepening internationalization of industries such as new energy vehicles (NEVs), processing enterprises in the secondary copper, secondary aluminum, and battery industries, which are part of the material supply chain, have chosen to establish factories in Southeast Asian countries like Thailand to expand overseas resources and enhance global competitiveness. Thailand, as a key economy in Southeast Asia, boasts a relatively mature resource recycling system and a favorable geographical location, providing convenient conditions for regional collaboration and international trade in the secondary metal industry. It has now developed into a global industrial base for the recycling, sorting, and reprocessing of secondary metals such as secondary aluminum and secondary copper, annually exporting substantial amounts of secondary metal resources to China and other countries.
