[Stellantis and Dongfeng Group Plan to Establish Joint Venture in Europe] On May 20, Stellantis Group issued a statement announcing that it had recently signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Dongfeng Group"). Leapmotor management stated at today's Q1 2026 earnings call that the company's plan to utilize Stellantis Group's Brazilian factory capacity is being implemented to achieve localization of its products in the South American market. In addition, Stellantis-owned Opel will co-produce vehicles with the Leapmotor B10 at its Spanish factory. The launch of Opel models is expected around 2027–2028, after which it will have an impact on the company's revenue.

[Canada's Unifor Union Targets Ford as Top Priority for 2026 Contract Negotiations] Unifor, Canada's largest private-sector union, has locked in Ford Motor as its primary negotiating target, prioritizing a new collective labor agreement with the automaker, one of the Detroit Big Three. Negotiations are set to officially begin on June 22. If a new agreement is reached with Ford, it will establish a benchmark pattern for subsequent negotiations with Stellantis and General Motors. Just days after negotiations begin, on July 1, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) will undergo its mandatory joint review, in which the three countries will need to decide whether to extend the agreement for 16 years.
