Recently, Sichuan Province's first integrated storage-computing composite ESS power station — Pengzhou Tuogang ESS Power Station — officially broke ground. The project adopts a hybrid technology route of "LFP electrochemical energy storage + 2.5 MW supercapacitor," with a total capacity of 100 MW/200 MWh. As a key demonstration project for grid-side new-type energy storage in Sichuan Province in 2025, it plans to achieve full-capacity grid connection and commissioning before the "peak summer" period in August this year.
Apr 15, 2026 17:41Recently, the official account of Shaanxi Construction No. 7 Construction Group announced that Phase I of the 200 MW/301.75 MWh hybrid frequency regulation ESS power station project in the Yuncheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shanxi, which it undertook, was successfully connected to the grid and officially entered the trial operation stage. The project mainly includes the construction of a 50 MW flywheel independent frequency regulation ESS, a 150 MW LFP electrochemical ESS, a 220 kV substation, and supporting facilities, adopting a hybrid model of “flywheel energy storage + LFP electrochemical energy storage.”
Mar 25, 2026 17:52On March 8, the Guozong Zhongsheng 200 MW/800 MWh grid-side standalone ESS project officially broke ground at the Xipo PV Industrial Park in Jinchang City’s Jinchuan District. With a total investment of approximately 780 million yuan, the project will adopt the currently mature LFP electrochemical energy storage technology, and will mainly build 40 sets of 5 MW/20 MWh energy storage units, along with supporting auxiliary works such as one 330 kV step-up substation and eight 35 kV collector lines.

China Huadian launched a 12 GWh energy storage tender for 2026, explicitly requiring ≥314Ah cells. The contract uniquely links pricing to SMM’s lithium carbonate index to manage market volatility. With bids opening February 11, 2026, this tender cements 314Ah technology and SMM benchmarks as the new standard for utility-scale projects.
