Nov 30, 2025 23:37【12,000-Ton Used Lithium Battery Recycling Project Approved】 Recently, the Hegang Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau in Heilongjiang Province released a notice regarding the intended approval opinions for the environmental impact assessment documents of two projects, including the Hegang Used Lithium Battery Recycling Project. A company in Heilongjiang is investing a total of 190 million yuan in this project, located at a site south of Guangyi Wood Industry in Nanshan District, Hegang City. The project will be constructed in two phases. The first phase involves building one used lithium battery processing production line with an annual processing capacity of 6,000 tons (including 5,000 tons of used ternary lithium batteries and 1,000 tons of used lithium iron phosphate batteries). The second phase will involve constructing five production lines within the factory building: three for processing used cathode sheets and two for processing used anode sheets, each with a total annual processing capacity of 6,000 tons for used ternary lithium battery cathode and anode sheets.

The project, undertaken by Heilongjiang Company, involves a total investment of 190 million yuan. Located south of Guangyi Wood Industry, Nanshan District, Hegang City, it will be constructed in two phases. Phase I will establish one waste lithium battery processing line with an annual capacity of 6,000 tons (including 5,000 t/a waste NMC batteries and 1,000 t/a waste LFP batteries). Phase II will involve constructing five production lines within the factory buildings: three for waste cathode pieces and two for waste anode pieces. The total annual processing capacity for both waste NMC battery cathode and anode pieces will be 6,000 tons each.
