[Hyundai Motor Group and Huayou Cobalt Jointly Built a Power Battery Recycling System in Indonesia] Recently, Hyundai Motor Group signed a cooperation agreement with Zhejiang Huayou Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Huayou Cobalt) to jointly build an EV power battery recycling system in Indonesia. The cooperation covered the recycling and utilization of battery production scrap and end-of-life batteries, aiming to achieve a closed-loop resource system throughout the entire battery life cycle.

LG Energy Solution revealed its next-generation battery commercialization strategy at InterBattery 2026, which opened on March 11 at COEX in Seoul. The company showcased sulfide-based all-solid-state battery cells and mock-up modules, presenting key technical targets including extending electric vehicle driving range to around 900 km and reducing charging time to within 10 minutes.

GAC Group has selected it as a partner for the development and supply of power batteries, with related products expected to officially commence supply in the first half of 2027. According to the announcement, the core product for this designated cooperation is a lithium iron phosphate power battery designed based on the SPS (Super Pouch Solution) large-format pouch power battery solution.

POSCO HY Clean Metal has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Mitsui & Co. to collaborate on recycling end-of-life batteries through Hydrovolt. Under the agreement, POSCO will secure a stable supply of large volumes of black mass produced by Hydrovolt at its facility in Fredrikstad, Norway.
