Partial Price Collection Notes
Overview:Today, platinum prices consolidated. The US Fed's hawkish signals continued to release, still capping the upside room for precious metals. In the morning session, the most-traded GFEX platinum contract PT2610 closed at 435.65 yuan/g, up 0.61%. The price inversion between the SGE Pt9995 best ask and the GFEX PT2610 ended. Spot side, mainstream quotations for platinum were at a premium of -3.5 yuan/g to premium of -2 yuan/g against the PT2610 contract, with significant differences in quotations. Downstream demand remained weak, with most purchasing as needed for orders. The premiums in mainstream quotations were basically flat from yesterday. Overall, no significant improvement was seen in the spot platinum market's consumption today.
Trader: An upstream enterprise stated: waiting for futures prices to continue rising to around 450 yuan/g, bullish in the short term, beginning to monitor spot market dynamics, and not selling for now.
Upstream: A trader said: quoted platinum powder on an EXW basis on the GFEX October contract at a premium of -3.5 yuan/g, with no deals concluded.
Upstream: A recycling plant reported: quoted platinum and palladium at a premium of -0.5 yuan/g on the 10th for volumes over 5 kg, but prices were high and no deals were made.
Downstream: A downstream enterprise noted: outside, offers today were mainly near a premium of -3 to -2 yuan/g against the October contract, with a wait-and-see approach and purchasing based on orders.
Trader: A trader reported: quoted platinum on the GFEX October contract at a premium of -2.5 yuan/g, with no deals.
