Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Leapmotor said on November 15 that its total deliveries since the start of this year have exceeded 500,000 units, allowing the company to hit its long-stated 2025 sales target ahead of schedule. The milestone places the EV maker among the fastest-growing players in China's new energy vehicle (NEV) segment.
The brand has dominated China's "new-force" leaderboard since March this year, chalking up eight consecutive months as the country's top-selling emerging automaker. Monthly sales climbed past 60,000 units for the first time in September and surged beyond 70,000 units in October, repeatedly pushing the industry's record higher and highlighting the company's accelerating growth curve.
Overseas operations have quickly evolved into Leapmotor's second major growth engine. Supported by partner Stellantis and its extensive global infrastructure, the company has built a distribution network of more than 700 outlets abroad — now the largest among China's NEV upstarts. Leapmotor vehicles are sold in 35 markets, and exports reached more than 44,000 units in the first ten months of 2025, the highest among its peer group. The brand has also begun breaking into key European markets including Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.
Back in 2019, founder and CEO of Leapmotor Zhu Jiangming publicly outlined a bold ambition: Leapmotor would reach 500,000 annual sales by 2025. The company has now delivered on that pledge — earlier than promised. The achievement underscores disciplined strategic execution, a maturing operational system, and a product lineup that has won consumer trust in both domestic and overseas markets.
Leapmotor is also preparing to introduce a key model for its next decade of expansion. The Lafa5, a sports coupe positioned at younger buyers, will debut earlier than expected on November 27. With a pre-sale range of 105,800 yuan to 131,800 yuan, the model is pitched as a blend of driving engagement, technology features, and expressive styling.
