Today, iron ore futures initially fell but then rose, holding up well throughout the day. The most-traded contract I2601 closed at 804.5, up 1.13% WoW. Traders sold at market prices; with significant price fluctuations, steel mills cautiously observed and inquiries were generally subdued. Market transaction activity was sluggish.
