On July 10 (Thursday), data released by the Chilean Copper Commission (Cochilco) showed that Codelco's copper production in May rose approximately 16.5% YoY, with monthly copper production increasing to 130,100 mt.
Codelco is the world's largest copper producer.
BHP's Escondida mine, the world's largest copper mine, saw a surge in production of approximately 24.4%, reaching 132,000 mt.
At another major copper mine, Collahuasi, jointly operated by Glencore and Anglo American, production fell 16.9% to 38,400 mt.
