Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 15, Chinese new energy vehicle maker NETA Auto revealed the pre-sale prices for the NETA S Shooting-brake model's BEV (battery electric vehicle) edition. The 510 Air and 640 AWD Max versions are priced between 166,900 yuan and 219,900 yuan, while the price for the 800V version will be announced later.
This new vehicle, positioned as a mid-to-large pure electric car, is built on the Shanhai Platform 2.0. Just a few days ago, the pre-sale prices for the REEV edition of the NETA S Shoot-braking were announced a few days ago, ranging from 175,900 yuan to 209,900 yuan. The official market launch is scheduled for August, with mass deliveries set to begin in September.
In terms of design, the front of the NETA S Shooting-brake closely resembles the NETA S, featuring split-type headlights with distinctive dotted-line LED daytime running lights. The only notable difference is the addition of a chrome dot-matrix design on the lower front air intake.
The vehicle's side profile is sleek, with a visual emphasis towards the rear, creating an elegant wagon-like appearance. Notably, the vehicle includes a small protrusion on the roof, likely housing a LiDAR sensor. The chassis employs the HOZON skateboard platform, incorporating an integrated front and rear casting design along with an integrated energy compartment. The vehicle is also expected to feature an air suspension system.
At the rear, the NETA S Shooting-brake carries the same full-width taillight design as the NETA S, complemented by a rear spoiler. The roofline remains relatively traditional, without excessive slope, ensuring ample headroom for rear passengers.
Inside, the NETA S Shooting-brake is equipped with an embedded full LCD instrument panel, a large HUD, and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The center console features a vertically oriented floating multimedia touchscreen, while parts of the interior are adorned with suede trim. The seats boast a diamond-shaped mesh design, adding a touch of sophistication.
As a shooting-brake model, this vehicle offers larger rear storage and headroom. It measures 4,980 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,980 mm.
In terms of power, the BEV version of the NETA S Shooting-brake will be available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants. The rear-wheel-drive version is driven by an electric motor that pumps out 250 kW.
