Job Responsibilities

  • Command an expert-level grasp of global and regional commodity supply chains, driving strategic research initiatives on complex metals and recycling markets in Southeast Asia.
  • Oversee and approve regional price assessments, ensuring absolute alignment with international regulatory standards and defending the authority of the pricing methodology.
  • Produce high-impact analytical reviews, strategic market outlooks, and deep-dive commentaries that influence market sentiment and establish thought leadership.
  • Cultivate and leverage senior-level relationships with key industry stakeholders, decision-makers, and institutional contacts to secure exclusive market insights and high-value data.
  • Manage and resolve highly sensitive or critical inquiries from market contacts regarding price assessments, applying expert editorial judgement and maintaining strict compliance boundaries.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced AI architectures within the research division to optimize data processing, predictive analysis, and cross-border database integration.
  • Lead cross-regional research collaboration, establishing knowledge-sharing frameworks and securing seamless backup coverage across global commodity sectors.
  • Conceptualize, design, and continuously refine complex mathematical forecasting models and supply-demand balance matrices to elevate data accuracy.
  • Lead and deliver customized strategy consulting projects, feasibility studies, and bespoke market research, providing C-suite clients with high-value, actionable insights.
  • Head regional market engagement programs, chair panel discussions, and deliver keynote presentations at major international industry events and webinars.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Financial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Native or near-native fluency in English, alongside command of regional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Malay), enabling high-stakes commercial negotiations and senior-level interviews across the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Minimum of 5 years of solid analytical, reporting, or pricing experience in global commodity markets, metals industries, or top-tier industrial consulting firms.
  • Possess an established, high-value personal network of senior contacts, key decision-makers, and institutional players within the Southeast Asian metals, recycling, or broader commodity supply chain.
  • Deep knowledge of international pricing principles (such as IOSCO regulations), with a proven track record of applying editorial judgement and defending pricing methodologies during high-pressure or anomalous market sessions.
  • Advanced competencies in mathematical modeling, predictive analysis, and econometric forecasting, with experience guiding the deployment of AI-driven analytical models.
  • Proven capability in leading and executing high-value, bespoke market research or strategic consulting projects directly for corporate C-suite executives.
  • Excellent public speaking and thought leadership capabilities, with documented experience chairing industry panels, delivering keynotes, or presenting at international webinars.
