To expand coverage of Vietnam’s domestic steel market and support procurement planning, price comparison and cost analysis, SMM plans to launch the following price points on 11/06/2026:
The new price points will provide daily references for market prices of rebar and wire rod in southern Vietnam. The USD/tonne references will be converted from the VND/kg prices using a documented exchange rate.

SMM will collect and verify mill and dealer quotations every working day between 09:00 and 10:00 Vietnam time (10:00–11:00 Kuala Lumpur / Beijing time), reviewing the applicable product specifications, delivery conditions and commercial terms for consistency.
These price points reflect an assessment across the main southern mills and do not represent a single mill's list price.
