Dear Valued Customers,
Molybdenum oxide is an important raw material in the molybdenum value chain, widely used in the production of ferromolybdenum and other molybdenum products. In international spot trading, product grade, impurity content, packaging, transaction volume and delivery terms can all affect transaction prices and procurement costs. A price reference with clearly defined specifications and a consistent delivery basis helps industry participants understand market conditions and supports procurement pricing, trade settlement and cost calculations.
To further enhance SMM's overseas molybdenum pricing coverage and reflect trading levels in the Busan in-warehouse molybdenum oxide spot market, SMM plans to launch the following daily price assessment on daily price assessment on October 15, 2026:
-
Molybdenum Oxide (57%), In-warehouse Busan
The new assessment will primarily reference concluded transactions and executable bids and offers that meet the specified product specifications and delivery conditions, reflecting spot prices for molybdenum oxide on an in-warehouse Busan basis.
