Türkiye is one of the world's major electric-arc-furnace steel and rebar producing and exporting nations, and its spot prices carry significant reference value for the Mediterranean and surrounding markets, yet a public, independent third-party benchmark has long been lacking. In response to demand across the supply chain for authoritative price information, SMM is introducing this ex-works (EXW) spot assessment following extensive research among Turkey's leading mills and trading channels.
Assessed on an EXW Turkey basis and covering the mainstream B420C grade (Φ16-20), it will help traders, mills and downstream users better track regional price levels and cost transmission, provide an objective reference for cross-regional procurement, hedging and contract settlement, and further enhance price transparency.

- Tax Basis: VAT excluded.
- Update Frequency: Daily, business days.
- Publication Time: 11:00 Turkey time (04:00 Beijing time).
- Payment Terms: Bank transfer — cash/advance or short-term credit (≤30 days); other payment methods standardised.
- Delivery Time: Prompt to 6 weeks.
- Major Producers: ICDAS, Habas, Isdemir, etc.
- Quality Standard: TS 708 — yield strength ReH ≥420 MPa; tensile/yield ratio ≥1.15; total elongation at max force Agt ≥7.5%; C ≤0.22%; P, S ≤0.050%, with good site weldability.
