Indonesia's NPI costs and profit margins by region provide an important reference for assessing the cost support for NPI prices, regional competitiveness gaps, and profit distribution along the industry chain.
To further enhance market transparency and help industry participants promptly track changes in Indonesia's NPI costs and margins, SMM officially launched the Indonesia NPI cost (spot ore) by region data points on August 7, 2026, covering RKEF high-grade NPI in four regions: IMIP, IWIP, Obi, and other areas of Sulawesi.
