Dear Valued Customers,
In recent years, continued adjustments to European steel trade protection measures have made stainless steel import quotas an increasingly important factor affecting regional supply flows, trading costs, and market balances. Quota allocations vary significantly by product category and country of origin, directly influencing export planning, procurement strategies, and price movements in the European stainless steel market.
To further improve SMM’s overseas stainless steel database and enhance the transparency of European import quota information, SMM will launch the following data points on 27th July, 2026:
- Annual European Stainless Steel Import Quota by Product Category
- Annual European Stainless Steel Import Quota by Country
The data by product category will present annual quota allocations for different stainless steel product groups, while the data by country will show the corresponding annual quota allocations for individual countries or regions of origin.
These data points will help users better understand the product and country structure of European stainless steel import quotas, monitor available market access, and support export, procurement, and inventory planning.
SMM will continue to track changes in European stainless steel import policies and update the relevant data based on official policy documents.
Thank you for your continued support and trust in SMM.
