In India, with two rounds of VGF (Viability Gap Funding) schemes totalling over INR 120 billion already disbursed and a 20% local content requirement in effect, the Indian energy storage market is opening a window of explosive growth.
To better serve the entire global energy storage supply chain and to help market participants accurately track FOB China price trends for DC‑side battery containers exported to Europe and India, SMM, after extensive market consultation and validation, plans to officially launch the following three FOB China price points for DC‑side energy storage battery containers on June 26, 2026:
I. European Market (two price points)
- Energy Storage Battery Stack (export to Europe) , 5MWh/0.5C, FOB China
- Energy Storage Battery Stack (export to Europe) , 5MWh/0.25C ,FOB China
II. Indian Market (one price point)
- Energy Storage Battery Stack (export to India) ,5MWh/0.5C & 0.25C ,FOB China
All prices are quoted on an FOB basis at China's major export ports (Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen), covering mainstream 5MWh‑class DC‑side battery container products for the European and Indian markets. Detailed specifications and notes are provided below.

- Release schedule: Weekly, on the last working day of each week, at 12:00 noon Beijing Time; if that day falls on a Chinese public holiday or weekend, the release will be postponed to the next working day.
